Let’s say for a minute that the Trumpers are correct, they are not. (The term Trumper is used to refer to adherents that have forgone all Republican Values.) Trump does not represent the people, his actions demonstrate that, the election was not stolen, there was no fraud. But for conversation sake, let’s go with it.
If members of Congress, who forget their oath to the Constitution, delay or in some way further undermine the results the 2020 Presidential Election, what then? They would somehow be placing themselves, and the votes of a minority, above the Supreme Court and the will of the majority of American Voters.
Some claim that their efforts are to prevent the Communist takeover of the United States, orchestrated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Russia as you may know, is also a communist country, and has stated their goals to bring America down, and is aggressively working to that end. This is not to say that China is not a threat, they clearly are. Trumpers, however are so focused on China that they are closing their eyes on Russia.
So, if we invalidate an election, if we overturn the popular vote, if there is fighting in the streets, who benefits? Does damaging our democracy protect America from China? Can we believe that the United States are better off divided? Divided from what? Are the RED states going to secede from the Union? This cannot work. If you need a refresher, read the Federalist Papers, try Federalist No. 45. United we stand, divided we fall.
If the destruction of the United States is the goal, as it is for Steve Bannon, what then? Are we back to thinking that we can live better independent of government? That would be inconsistent with the previously stated goal of protecting the United States from takeover. We have been misled to believe that what is best for Trump is best for our country. If we cling to this belief, we must consider that we retain Trump as our savior, but at what cost?
