President Trump, without regard for the good of the country, or concern for the welfare of the Republican Party has insisted that our presidential election was rigged, stolen, and rife with fraud. It might be clear to some why we would look so hard to find a reason that this outstanding citizen, this moral leader, this example of virtue was not reelected. Unfortunately, it appears that he was just voted off the island for failing in his job. Yes, he worked to start a race war in America, he sabotaged our standing in the world, he undermined the credibility of our political, intelligence, and law enforcement agencies, and he did cut down on them immigrants. All of which are the pet projects of Steve Bannon by the way. But, did he really live up to your expectations?
Our elections are one of the most important aspects of American Democracy. Our military personnel have risked and lost their lives supporting “fair and safe” elections in countries around the world. For our Commander and Chief to discredit elections taking place in America is an insult to our military and a gift for Putin. At least the charade is finally over. Bill Barr, Attorney General and Trump’s lap dog has now acknowledged that the election result was not the result of voter fraud.
“To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election,” Barr said.
This occurred weeks after our government released a joint statement from agencies responsible for ensuring that our elections are protected from internal and external attack. Right up front the statement says: “The November 3rd election was the most secure in American history…” As a result of that bold statement, the Director, Chris Krebs, a lifelong Republican, appointed by Trump was fired.
Chris Krebs:
“Votes were cast in Georgia, for instance, again, on paper. They were counted by a machine. They were subsequently recounted by hand. The outcomes of that count were consistent. If there was an algorithm that was flipping votes or changing votes, it didn’t work. I think the more likely explanation, though, is that there is no algorithm, that the systems performed as intended. That the series of security controls before, during, and after an election protected those systems from any sort of misbehavior.”
We the People should have faith in our elections, and the world watches the United States during our elections. “Electoral fraud is very rare in the United States, the rate is less than 0.0009%, according to a 2017 study by the Brennan Center for Justice. There is no evidence to suggest it’s been a major issue at this election either.” It is very unfortunate that a self-serving person would do so much to destroy the image of America’s peaceful transition of power. Thankfully Republicans with concern for the good of the Nation are finally speaking the truth and reassuring us that we can trust our election process, and that there was no fraud in this election. What do you think?
