What did we gain from the Trump experiment? What was worth the compromise of our values and the damage done to the Republican Party? It is not clear; some suggest the issue was abortion. Trump does not truly believe in anything other than self-promotion. He certainly is not a champion of the Pro-Life movement. Historically he has been for and against abortion so that can not be it. Some people say that Trump understands us. That cannot be true. He would not have you to dinner. He doesn’t live in our world. He wouldn’t give you the time of day if he did not think you might do something for him someday. Evangelicals have claimed that Trump would advance their issues. You have to be kidding. Trump worships only money. He is not a good person and he is not a role model for our kids. Some have claimed that Trump has improved the economy, as if that means something to the common American. At the time of this writing the DOW just hit 30,000. So what? The stock market does not reflect your quality of life, even if you are well off. So, Trump’s contribution to the United States is not in the area of Abortion or Religion, it is not in the area of Morals or Values, it is not in the area of Quality of Life for the average American. Can it be that we were so uncomfortable with the idea of having a black man as President that we lost our mind and had to swing the pendulum to the other extreme? To put black people back in their place, did we really elect a racist pig that you would never allow to date your daughter? What do you think?
