Should a politician be able to draw political boundaries to stay in office, or to favor one party over another? Should they be able to shift you into a different district to make sure your vote doesn’t count? It is un-American for the politicians who benefit from gerrymandering to be involved in redrawing our district maps. In America everyone gets a vote, and they should all have equal value. Your vote should not be discounted because someone moved your home out of your district.
Independent, nonpartisan commissions should be assigned to develop our district maps. Politicians are elected to serve the people, not get rich, and make it impossible for us to vote them out. How are your district lines drawn?
