A Platform to Discuss and Refine Opinions on a Wide Range of Issues

In this time of unlimited access to information, it can be difficult to determine what information is true and what sources of information are credible. Before we share information with family and friends we need to validate that information. Before we can properly form an opinion we need to confirm our sources of information are credible. Partisan pundits and people intentionally passing misinformation make this nearly impossible. At People Over Party, our goal is to provide a platform to share opinions, confirm information, and consider ideas from all sides of an issue.

Speak Your Mind

In modern language to argue, or an argument, has become a negative. Argument is really an essential part of critical thinking, and historically meant to debate an issue or to support a position with facts. The Socratic Method is a form of argument that allows two or more persons to learn using critical thought by challenging presuppositions. Often, sharing your viewpoint on a sensitive or hot-button issue through social media evokes emotional responses and nothing is accomplished. On this website, we strive to create an environment that allows for the open exchange of ideas in a reasonable fashion, so that we all benefit.

Caution: Misinformation and conspiracy theories will be challenged and disproven.

Topics to Consider

Our goal is to provide people a place to share their opinions openly, whether you’re a liberal, conservative, or anything in between. You can discuss a wide range of subjects including:
